EU suit sizes in short
EU size minus 10 gives you the UK and US jacket size. The EU number is also roughly half the chest measurement in centimetres. An EU 50 is a UK or US 40.

The chest figure is the body measurement the size is made for, not the jacket measured flat. The trouser waist assumes a standard 6-inch drop between jacket chest and trouser waist, which is the usual drop for a regular suit. Slim fit models can run closer, so check the size chart for each model. Letter sizes are only a rough guide, as they vary between markets.
Fit makes a difference
Our models come in slim, modern and classic fits. The same EU size feels different across fits:
- Slim fit: closer through the chest and waist, narrower trouser leg. Most of our tuxedos and occasion suits are slim fit.
- Modern fit: slightly more room through the body, still a clean line.
- Classic fit: more ease in the chest, waist and thigh, for a traditional silhouette.
If your customers are used to classic cuts, check the model's measurement chart before you plan sizes.
Jacket length: short, regular and long
Most suits are sold in a regular length. Some markets also sell short and long versions of the same chest size, labelled S, R and L in the UK and US. If your market needs short or long lengths, tell us when you plan a made-to-order run and we will confirm the options for that model.
How our size-run lots are built
Our stock is sold in lots: one model, one suit in each size of the run. The run depends on the model.

In UK and US sizes, a 46-56 lot covers 36 to 46, and a 46-58 lot covers 36 to 48. The size run of each model is listed on its page in the collections.
Lots are fixed. If you need a different size curve, for example two of each middle size, you can order more lots, or move to a made-to-order run of 100 units per style where you choose the breakdown.
Choosing a size breakdown for production
For production orders you decide how many units to make in each size. If you don't have your own sales data, a common starting point is to weight the middle of the run, with more 50 and 52 and fewer of the smallest and largest sizes. Your market matters: buyers in some regions sell more of the larger sizes, while slim fit fashion lines lean smaller. We can suggest a breakdown based on what we see for your region.
Big and tall sizes
We make suits beyond the standard run for retailers who serve bigger and taller customers. Our standard lots already reach EU 58 on many models. For made-to-order runs we can extend the range further, up to 6XL, and adjust the pattern for a fuller chest, waist and seat rather than just scaling it up. Read more on our big and tall suits page.
Getting the measurement chart
Each model has its own measurement chart for jacket and trousers. Ask us on WhatsApp for the chart of any model code, and we will send it with measurements in centimetres.

How do I convert EU suit sizes to US sizes?

Not from stock, because lots are packed as full size runs. For made-to-order production you choose the quantity per size.
